Henrietta and her daughters’ chicks – so far!

Henrietta and her daughters have hatched at least some of their eggs yesterday (Mother’s Day!) and Jim got to see them! He took a few pictures of the event yesterday but we couldn’t get them uploaded because our cellular 3G Internet was being a pain yesterday. They literally hatched on Mother’s Day because he saw the eggs intact* the day before.

*Only one of the daughter’s eggs had a little hole the day before where a chick was getting ready to hatch out.

Here are three of the chicks that Henrietta’s daughters hatched. They are just a little older than Henrietta’s – by just a few hours likely:

These are just a few of the reasons that we are concerned about the coal fired power plant being proposed so close to home — looming over Dendron.

Hopefully, we will be able to get more images today.
