Loving Memory… My Husband, James Lee Radcliffe aka JimmyLee

Today feels like some sort of dream or nightmare, I will wake up and this horrible thing will be gone. I feel like I have a cottony fogginess in my brain and am in tears more than not and at times I just lose it.

I miss you Sweetie … you can’t be gone, but you are…

Here’s the page I created for Jim’s passing:

RIP Bruno Knaapen!

Posted Image

On February 20, 2010 at about 10:00 AM local Amsterdam time, Bruno Knaapen slipped away…

no more pain, no more sorrow.

For the fourth year now, February 20th is a soulful time for me.

I still really miss Bruno very much.

But I am still relieved that he no longer has to deal with any pain and suffering.

No one should have to suffer the horrendous pain that accompanies pervasive cancer that they can’t fix …

Just wanted to honor our past amazing BATL leader, teacher, friend, Bruno Knaapen.

Bruno, you are still very much missed!

Happy New Year!

Last year I posted a Happy Christmas Eve! posting. I hope everyone had a very Happy Christmas again this year. This year I figured I would do a Happy New Year one.

Some from around the world, Australia, New Zealand, the Islands, and maybe even some from the Far East have already experienced the 2013 New Year, and we will also be experiencing it very soon. Here Midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) about eight and a half hours from now….So Happy New Year 2013 to everyone!

Happy New Year 2013!

Happy New Year 2013!

And some words of wisdom from some great writers and thinkers:

He who breaks a resolution is a weakling;
He who makes one is a fool.
~F.M. Knowles

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
~Alfred, Lord Tennyson, 1850

Yesterday, everybody smoked his last cigar, took his last drink and swore his last oath. Today, we are a pious and exemplary community. Thirty days from now, we shall have cast our reformation to the winds and gone to cutting our ancient shortcomings considerably shorter than ever. ~Mark Twain

Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account. ~Oscar Wilde

New Year’s Day: Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual. ~Mark Twain

May all your troubles last as long as your New Year’s resolutions. ~Joey Adams

Evening Orchid Corvair!

evening orchid corvair '65 - world o' jeff

I have always said that the right car in the wrong color is the wrong car. No beige 1959 Cadillacs for me, thank you.

A lady named Emily in the store last week casually mentioned that she was selling her 1965 Corvair that she had owned for 25 years. “What color”, I asked, which is always my first question when someone tells me about a car. “It’s called Evening Orchid”, she replied. “It’s kind of a lilac”.

Thank you Jeff and frapper!

I now know that My lavender and white Corvair convertible wasn’t a custom paint job but a real Chevrolet color of the day! Evening orchid. The only difference between mine and this one is mine had a white convertible top and white white wall tires … so it was like the yellow one I posted, but this color! Awesome!
